How to Use the NEW Facebook Page Posting Options to Connect with Your Customers

Have you got the new Facebook page posting options yet? I was pretty excited when I got them on my page that I made a quick video tour of the options available. The icons make is much easier to create different types of posts, include calls to action in your posts and do other things like create events, offers and ads without feeling a little lost searching through different options and settings on your page.

They are only available on desktop and laptop (not mobile yet) and Facebook’s aim is to help you connect with your customers and get them to take specific actions on your posts.

Your business page type will affect the options you have. For example, local businesses will have a help people find your business post option but other business types like product don’t have this feature.

The call to action you have set at the top of your page will also influence your post options. I have sign up as my main call to action so this appears as a post option. But other pages that have book now or call will see these options instead.

It’s a shame we don’t have the ability to change the CTA for each post, as different posts aimed at different audiences will require a different option. But Facebook wants to put us in a box. So far that’s the only negative I’ve seen – that not all the options are available to all businesses.
